I brought money according to what I had been quoted so I could tip 20 percent and I only brought 220 with me to the salon. However at the end of my appointment, I was told that my total was 205. I gave a 15 dollar tip because that is all I could do. I felt like it was a stingy tip, but I had no choice. I just think that when I confirmed what the price was going to be at least 4 times, it should have been what I was quoted and if during the process of doing my hair she realized it would be more, then I should have been informed of that. I did not want to make a fuss about it so I said nothing while checking out, and again Hope did do an amazing job with my hair.

Oh boy where do I start! I got the magic sleek hair treatment done with them. Before scheduling the treatment with them, I had a consultation during which they looked at... read more my hair and assured me that the treatment would 100% work. I was not told that the treatment does not work for certain hair types. I paid 575$ for the treatment including tip and it did not work. My hair was back to frizzy and very curly after the first wash itself. It was even worse after the second wash and I noticed a lot of hair fall too. I tried to reach out to them through phone for a week and they never called me back like they said they would. I actually had to drive to the salon to get a consultation appointment. They looked at my hair and said that the treatment does not work for certain hair types and offered to do it again. I asked for a partial refund but was denied. I asked them why they did not care to mention that the treatment might not work and they did not have any answer. Although I did not want to put my hair through such an intense process, I agreed to get it done the second time and scheduled an appointment. However, after a consultation with another stylist and also a doctor, I was advised against getting it done the second time as it might damage the hair further. I called them and cancelled the appointment. I tried to reach out to them to resolve this any other way, Mirella said "Sometimes the treatments do not work just like sometimes you might go to sleep and never wake up again the next day and that is just commonsense." I wonder where her common sense was when she was actually suggesting putting my hair through such an intense process for the second time. I cannot think of any hair stylist with actual knowledge doing that! She says that there is no need for them to inform us before hand about the chances of treatment not working! Also she kept accusing me of not showing up to the treatment inspite of me calling and cancelling the appointment before hand. Luckily I was able to raise a dispute and get it approved. I also raised a complaint with the concerned authorities with proof of our conversations so that this whole incident is on file. Down the lane if any other customer faces a similar issue and decides to file a complaint, then they have something to lean on.
